Jeff has been teaching at Thamesmead school since 2005 when he was recommended by another tutor. He is able to help in most styles – from simple folk and fingerstyle, blues and rock, through to modern jazz, having played them all professionally at one time or another. Students may study just for fun or pursue Rockschool grades to any level required. Jeff also supports the instrumental work for GCSE required by the school.
Jeff has a degree in Popular Music Studies from Sheffield University and the Performer’s Licentiate from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He is also a qualified FE College lecturer. He has Grade VIIIs from Rockschool and the Guildhall and sundry other grades in jazz piano and music theory. He runs his own big band performing his compositions as well as a seven piece function band playing Jump Blues.
Eliot Maidment is a professional musician based in West London. Since graduating from Point Blank Music School with a distinction, Eliot has spent his time regularly gigging in venues across the capital and hosting an open mic night. His eclectic taste in music has led him to teach styles such as rock / pop / blues / folk and country. He’s passionate about sharing his love for the guitar with all those interested in learning, his current clientele’s ages range from 7 to 70 with varying degrees of experience. Eliot is able to teach both Rockschool and Associate Board exam grades.
When not teaching, Eliot writes and records his own music and is currently producing his debut album at Map Studios.
Cameron is a professional musician based in Egham who’s greatest passion teaching the universal language of music to people of all ages and abilities. After being rewarded a Distinction * Deploma and BA (Hons) degree in electric bass performance at the Academy of Contemporary Music, Cameron has been involved in various projects working as a session musician utilising his skills in guitar, electric bass and arrangement. Cameron believes that each student should have their own teaching programme tailored to their personal goals and achievements i.e Rockschool grades, sight reading or music theory. Cameron also works at his private studio, where he helps artists build there songs from the ground up.
